Method
- Add all-purpose flour, salt, sugar, baking powder, and baking soda to a mixing bowl.
- Mix well.
- Add curd and oil.
- Add warm milk little by little and make a soft dough.
- Knead the dough for 5 to 7 minutes until smooth.
- Apply a little oil on the dough, cover it, and rest for 1 to 2 hours.
- Knead the dough lightly again after resting.
- Divide the dough into equal balls.
- Roll each ball into an oval or round naan.
- Heat a tawa or skillet on medium-high heat.
- Place the naan on the hot tawa.
- Cook until bubbles appear and the bottom gets light golden spots.
- Flip and cook the other side until golden spots appear.
- Remove from the tawa and brush with melted butter or ghee.
- Sprinkle coriander leaves on top and serve hot.
Notes
Use a soft dough for soft naan.
